What are skin boosters?
Skin booster is a term used to refer to various injectable hyaluronic acid treatments that are injected directly into the dermis of the skin. There are many skin boosters available with different properties to address different concerns. For example, Profhilo, Teosyal and Juvederm Volite.
Skin boosters reduce the signs of ageing by reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, loss of elasticity and dehydrated saggy skin. They can be used to give overall skin rejuvenation or more targeted treatment of perioral lines, smile lines or neck lines and wrinkles.
What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is a revolutionary type of skin booster. It is an injectable treatment of hyaluronic acid which reduces the signs of ageing including loss of skin elasticity, dehydration and fine lines and wrinkles. It is revolutionary in its physical properties which allow it to be used on the body as well as the face and is a very popular sought-after treatment due to the results it achieves.
Profhilo is administered by injection directly into the dermis. Depending on the area treated you may need to have topical local anaesthetic cream applied prior to treatment to minimise discomfort.

Two treatments four weeks apart is considered optimal.
